The 9th World Congress of the Organization of World Heritage Cities will be held in Kazan, Russia on 19-23 June 2007.

     The Congress is organized by the city of Kazan in collaboration with the OWHC and it includes a scientific program developed by the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI).

     The Congress will be conducted

• under the aegis of UNESCO;
• under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of the Regional Development of the Russian Federation;
• and by support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the World Organization of United Cities and Local Governments and the Council of Europe.
